(COLDWATER) - Michigan State Police Troopers continue to look for the driver of a truck as part of an investigation into what is now being called a fatal hit and run accident involving a pedestrian on Barnhart Road near Gruner Road in Branch County's Batavia Township. Troopers from the Coldwater Post say 54-year-old Paul Means was killed in the accident which happened at about 2:45am on Sunday morning. State Police issued a press release on Monday that initially said the incident was a "pedestrian personal injury accident". They say Means lived near the accident scene and had just gotten out of a car when he was hit. Troopers think the truck was pulling a trailer. Anybody with information about the truck or the driver is asked to call the Michigan State Police Post in Coldwater at (517) 278-2373.
