LAGRANGE - Prairie Heights students have a new opportunity to apply for a scholarship.
The family of Florence Notestine established a scholarship fund in her memory with the LaGrange County Community Foundation. Florence spent her lifetime in LaGrange County where she was an educator from 1937-1989 but her passion for education didn’t cease when she retired from Prairie Heights School Corporation.
A graduating senior from Prairie Heights is eligible to apply yet this year with the $500 scholarship being awarded after completion of one semester at an accredited 4 year college or university. The scholarship will go to a student who exemplifies the same dedication to their community that Notestine did throughout her lifetime.
Applications are available online at www.lccf.net. Completed applications are due at the Community Foundation office by May 5th at 5:00 pm. For more information regarding this scholarship contact your high school guidance office or call the Community Foundation at (260)463-4363.
