(CORUNNA) - A Kendallville teenager was injured Friday morning when his pickup truck collided with a semi on U.S. 6 near Corunna. The DeKalb County Sheriffs Department says 18-year-old Nicholas Crager stopped abruptly to make a left hand turn into a driveway near County Road 3 at about 9:00am. Crager told police he did not see a semi driven by 52-year-old Charles Adkins of Marshall, Michigan that was passing him. Adkins started to pass Crager when the pickup turned into the semi. Both vehicles went off the road and into a ditch. Adkins was not injured. Crager was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment of bruises to his head and leg. Corunna firefighters and DeKalb County E.M.S. assisted the Sheriffs Department. Traffic had to be shut down as the vehicles were removed from the scene.
