(ORLAND) - A man had to be flown out Friday night after his pickup truck crashed near Orland. The Steuben County Sheriffs Department says 29-year-old Jeremy Maguire was heading north on County Road 550 West from Orland Road at about 6:20pm when his pickup went off the road and struck a tree. Maguire had to be freed from the vehicle by Orland Fire Rescue and later flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center by West Michigan Air Care. A Sheriffs Department news release stated that Maguire was from Indiana but it did not list a hometown. They say his seatbelt did not appear to be in use at the time of the accident but the driver's side airbag was deployed. Alcohol is thought to be a factor in the accident which is still under investigation. Assisting the Sheriffs Office were Steuben County E.M.S., Orland Fire Rescue, Indiana State Police and West Michigan Air Care.
