Traffic stops in LaGrange lead to drug investigations

LAGRANGE - It was a busy evening for LaGrange Police Friday as a pair of traffic stops led to drug investigations.
Around 7 p-m a traffic stop on U-S 20 at 100 West resulted in the arrest of 37-year-old Marc Smith of Kendallville. He’s charged with possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, along with possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.
Then about three hours later another traffic stop turned up 32 individual packets of cocaine in a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Travis Crager of Angola.
He was jailed on charges of dealing cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, driving while suspended, and operating while intoxicated by controlled substance.
