(UNDATED) – Authorities are searching for the individuals who led them on a high speed chase through Branch County.
Michigan State Police from the Coldwater Post along with other law enforcement agencies in Branch County were involved in a high speed chase that started in Bronson around 7:45 PM Sunday.
Bronson Police received a call of a biker who was speeding and driving in a reckless manner. Officers found a group of motorcycles along with the driver in question. When the officer tried to get the biker to stop, the suspect went north on South Matteson Street and then onto U.S. 12. Bronson Police lost site of the suspect near Snow Prairie Road.
Michigan State Police and the Coldwater Police Department were able to located the motorcycles and followed them at speeds that reached close to 100 MPH. The chase went onto Western Avenue, then to Union City Road and north from Coldwater before the motorcyclists were able to get away from authorities.
State Police officials did say Bronson officers were able to identify two suspects through their license plates. Arrest warrants have been submitted to the Branch County Prosecutor's office for review.
