(CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP) – A nine year old child is in a Kalamazoo hospital after being run over by a vehicle.
Constantine Fire Chief Mike Haydon says his department was called to Constantine Township at 10 AM Sunday on a report of a child being run over by a vehicle.
Few details have been released about the incident. Haydon says West Michigan Air Care was called in to transport the child, but due to a minor incident, were not able to land. The child was taken to Bronson Hospital by Life Care Ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
No further information is available on the child's status at this time. Assisting at the scene were the Constantine Police Department and the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.
