(BRONSON) – A Sturgis Public Schools Administrator has been tentatively offered the position of Bronson Schools Superintendent.
The Bronson School Board has been going through the process of finding a replacement for retiring Superintendent Jim Modert, who announced he would be stepping down at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.
The Bronson School Board narrowed down their list of candidates to three. They are Teresa Belote, Principal at Congress and Wenzel Schools in Sturgis; Christine Barnes, Constantine High School Principal; and Jeff Budge, Beaverton Middle School Principal.
The three candidates met with Board members Tuesday night for individual interviews. Bronson School Board President Rick Miller says following those interviews, the Board tentatively offered the position to Belote.
Miller says Belote will do a site visit to the Bronson District in the next few days. The Board is expected to vote on whether or not to hire Belote during their meeting scheduled for next Monday evening.
