(UNDATED) – A Sturgis man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that happened Sunday night.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says 28 year old Josh Webster was arrested in Illinois and is awaiting a return to St. Joseph County.
The incident happened in the 29000 block of Fawn River Road Sunday. Webster is accused of stabbing a man several times in the neck and chest during what authorities describe as an attempted robbery. The man was taken to a Kalamazoo area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Charges of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery and vehicle theft against Webster are pending.
