(BRONSON) – An offer has been made to a Sturgis Schools administrator to become the next Bronson Schools Superintendent.
During their Monday meeting, the Bronson Board of Education offered the Superintendent's position to Teresa Belote, who currently serves as Principal at Congress and Wenzel Schools in Sturgis. Current Bronson Superintendent Jim Modert announced he would be retiring at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.
Bronson School Board President Rick Miller says Belote and the Board of Education will work out the details of her contract. If she accepts the terms, then the Board will look to ratify the contract and introduce her as Superintendent during a special meeting set for June 9 at 6:30 PM.
Belote was one of three finalists for the Superintendent's position that the Board of Education selected. The others were Christine Barnes, Constantine High School Principal; and Jeff Budge, Principal at Beaverton Middle School.
