BRISTOL - When the Miss USA Pageant is televised Sunday night, many area residents will be glued to their T-V’s.
Miss Indiana Mekeyla Diehl lists Bristol as her hometown now, but she’s also a graduate of White Pigeon High School.
She’ll compete against 50 other contestants for the Miss USA title.
Diehl worked for a year as a radio deejay after graduating from Albion College. She now works as the Store Manager, Marketing Director, Store Buyer, and Pageant Consultant at Ashley Rene’s, a prom and pageant gown store.
That’s quite a flip from a childhood she says was spent mostly as a Tomboy. She had a dirt bike, snowmobile, four-wheeler and a horse before she had a car.
NBC will broadcast the pageant from Baton Rouge Sunday starting at 8 p-m.
