(THREE RIVERS) – A Chicago man is facing charges after he used a fraudulent credit card to purchase items at a Three Rivers gas station.
The Three Rivers Police say the 45 year old man was arrested following an investigation that lasted several days. The investigation started after a citizen contacted police about fraudulent charges on their credit card, that included a one day purchase of $8,000 worth of cigarettes.
Authorities received a tip that the suspect was going to try and make another purchase at the gas station. Officers arrested him before he could make the buy.
Police found several credit cards not belonging to the suspect in his possession. He was also wanted on an Indiana warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card.
