(ALBION) - The Noble County Sheriffs Department has forwarded four charges to county prosecutors after a Fort Wayne woman was arrested early Sunday morning in connection with a traffic accident near Albion. A caller told the Sheriffs Department at about 1:00am that they had just encountered a bloodied woman running from an accident on State Road 9 near River Road. The Sheriffs Department and Albion Police found a Izuzu Rodeo struck a guardrail and flipped onto its side. Nobody was in the vehicle and officers began a search of the area. They eventually found Jamie Derkatsch hiding behind a garbage can at a residence on South Orange Street. Police say she allegedly went into a home and awoke the homeowner who was sleeping in the living room. The homeowner told her to leave after she asked for assistance to evade arrest. The Sheriffs Department say they are expect to forward criminal charges of residential entry, driving while suspended, operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
