(ANGOLA) - Lake Pleasant residents are not happy about large trucks traveling down 450 West and they want Steuben County officials to do something about it. Kara Laughlin from the Lake Pleasant Home Owners Association told Steuben County Commissioners on Monday that semi drivers are using the road as a short cut to get up to farms and other industries in Michigan. County Engineer Jennifer Sharkey said she will look into the situation and see what can be done to reduce the truck traffic. She also told residents she will review letters that have been sent to INDOT. Sharkey added that speed bumps should not be put in by private residents due to safety and liability concerns.
