(ANGOLA) - Visitors to Friday's Open House of the T. Furth Center for the Performing Arts are being encouraged to enter the Furth parking lot from Gilmore Street. Overflow parking will be available in the Trine parking lots south of Maumee. Those lots are accessible from Darling Street which will allow you to navigate around the Streetscape Project work on West Maumee. The Open House will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided by Bon Appetite Management Company. The Furth Center was dedicated on May 2nd following a $7.8 million renovation of the former First Christian Church which was built in 1910. Guided tours will be available. In addition, a limited supply of unique stained-glass pieces from the former church will be available for sale. The windows were not salvageable in their entirety and a few sections have been reconstructed. All proceeds will benefit the Furth Center. Before the Open House, the Remnant Trust exhibit at Trine University will be open from 4:00pm until 5:00pm in Taylor Hall's Wells Gallery.
