(CENTREVILLE) – As expected the selection of a jury for the Andy Brown trial is going slowly.
St. Joseph County Circuit Court officials say they sent notices to 130 people to come in for jury duty on Tuesday, and just over half showed up. The potential jurors were shown a list of the witnesses that the prosecution and defense intend to call to see if they knew any of those individuals. If the potential jurors did know any of the witnesses, they were questioned by the lawyers and Circuit Court Judge Paul Stutesman.
More possible jurors are coming in Wednesday and the process will start over again until 14 individuals have been selected to seat the jury. Twelve will be the main jurors with two alternates.
Brown is accused of shooting and killing David Locey October 2, 2013 in the Locey CPA Office. Locey's body was found by an employee with a single gun shot wound to the head.
So far, authorities have not been able to locate the gun used in the shooting.
