INDIANAPOLIS – Without explanation, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development revised the jobless rates it released just last week.
The result is that jobless rates rose slightly around Northeast Indiana during May, just not quite as must as previously reported.
Indiana Workforce Development says LaGrange County unemployment rate was at 4.4 percent instead of 4.5.
Noble County remained at 5.2 percent and DeKalb County was revised downward slightly to 5.1 percent. Elkhart County stayed at 5.3 percent, and Steuben County was revised downward one-tenth to 5.5 percent.
Statewide the jobless rate remained at 5.7 percent.
