(ANGOLA) - The Brokaw Theater in downtown Angola was officially sold on Friday. Scott Glaze of Roanoke closed on the property after Toni Roberts had operated the theater for almost three decades. Glaze became interested in buying the Brokaw after he attended a movie there recently. He and his family have a lake home in Steuben County. Glaze says the Brokaw will continue to run for several weeks and then will be shut down until November while digital sound equipment is installed and other upgrades are made. He hopes the Brokaw will re-open in time for the holiday season. He plans to keep the Brokaw name. The theater was built in 1932 and Glaze feels it's an important part of Angola. Glaze has bought and rehabilitated several Fort Wayne building.
