(STURGIS) – Despite a little rain Saturday afternoon, Sturgis Fest 2014 was a success.
The week long festival came to an end Saturday with a host of different events and activities. It started with a 5K run and walk fundraising event for the Veteran's Support Fund of Southern Michigan. Also on Saturday was the annual Dawn Patrol at the Kirsch Municipal Airport.
The Sturgis Fest Parade started at 1 PM with over 50 entries in this year's event. Award winners in this year's parade included for Most Beautiful Entry: Ringenberg Farm Museum; Most Creative Entry: Vogt's Floral and Ludder's Cleaners and Tux Rental with a horse drawn wedding carriage; Judges Choice Entry: the Plymouth Fife & Drum Corp; Antique Vehicles Entry: the Sturgis Area Tractor Collectors; and the Chamber's Choice Entry: B&D Travel Consultants.
Hamilton Harley Davidson was the site for the All Day Music Fest. Visitors could listen to the sounds of four great bands along with food, beverages and other items for sale.
Sturgis Fest came to an end with a packed house at the Kirsch Municipal Airport for the annual fireworks show.
