More Testimony Heard In Brown Trial

(CENTREVILLE) – Testiony was given Tuesday on how Andy Brown's car was searched following the shooting death of David Locey.

Sergeant Damon Knapp of the Sturgis Police Department testified that he is a certified crime scene technician. In addition to serving with the Sturgis Police Department, he is also a member of the St. Joseph County Major Crimes Scene Task Force.

Knapp says when he arrived at the David Locey CPA office on October 2, he did a videotape of the crime scene. Once that was finished and additional copies were made, Knapp went to Jim Brown's Auto Service to take pictures of all the vehicles in the lot and their license plates.

After that, he was ordered to process Andy Brown's care. ...... {LISTEN}. Knapp and St. Joseph County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Auton conducted the search of the vehicle with Detective-Sergeant Heather Johnston of the Michigan State Police wrote down all of the items as they were recovered.

Knapp says as they processed the vehicle they were looking for a gun, but no firearm was found.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor John McDonough recalled Joy Stevens to the stand for some follow up questions, regarding the October 1, 2013 meeting between herself, Locey, Brown and Brown's wife Heather.

Stevens says during the meeting, Heather Brown became upset with her husband and called him names. ...... {LISTEN}.

Stevens also testified that since Locey's death, several of their clients have called with complaints about Brown and how he handled their taxes.

Testimony is set to continue Wednesday morning.
