(CENTREVILLE) – Testimony offered Tuesday revealed that Andy Brown had gunshot residue on some of his clothes following the death of David Locey.

Brown has been charged with first degree murder in the October 2, 2013 shooting death of Locey, who was found in his office by another employee.

Allison Murtha is the manager of the Forensic Science Department with R.J. Lee Group, which is based near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She testified that her company did testing on Brown's clothing.

Murtha explained that bullets have three elements in them that can come out when a gun is fired; Barium, Lead and Antimony. She says if all three elements are found in a particle, there's a very good chance it came from a discharging firearm.

Murtha shares what the testing found on Brown's clothes. ...... {LISTEN}.

Murtha also testified that gunshot residue was found on Brown's jacket, right shoe and his vest. She says for a person to have gunshot residue on themselves, they must have contact with someone or something that has residue on it, or be near a gun that is being fired, or firing a gun.

During testimony last week, Brown's wife Heather testified that when her father was alive, he would shoot a gun in his house to deal with problem raccoons. She said Brown could have gotten gunshot residue from moving items out of that house once her father died.

Testimony ended early Tuesday because two witnesses did not show up. The are scheduled to take the stand Wednesday in St. Joseph County Circuit Court.
