(INDIANAPOLIS) - The 12th annual Cops Cycling for Survivors group bicycle ride around Indiana will once again include a stop in Angola. The tour has an overnight stop planned for Trine University next Wednesday night before departing for Mishawaka the next morning.
The tour begins next Monday with a departure ceremony at the Law Enforcement/Firefighter Memorial next to the State Capitol in downtown Indianapolis.
A total of 66 cyclists will take part in the ride which will cover 1,000 miles around the perimeter of Indiana before it ends in Indianapolis on July 26th.
The Cops Cycling for Survivors Foundation raises money and awareness about the sacrifices made by Hoosier law enforcement families across Indiana. The cycling event has raised over $300,000. The money raised is used to aid surviving family members and co-workers of officers killed in the line-of-duty.
