(ANGOLA) - Gary LeTourneau has been selected as Steuben County's new Communications Director. Steuben County Commissioners selected him during their meeting last Monday but his name was not publicly released until he accepted the position. LeTourneau's first day of employment will be on July 21st. He takes over from Cindy Snyder who resigned in March. Former Communications Director Ken Lowden has been serving as the Interim Communications Director since that time. Steuben County Commission Chair Ron Smith stated in a press release that LeTourneau has been in the public safety field for over 20 years which includes being a Deputy Director of Michigan's St. Joseph County Central Dispatch for 10 years. He is a member of several organizations including the National Emergency Number Association, the Michigan Communications Director's Association and the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatchers.
