(UNDATED) - The Bummer Summer of 2014 continues. The National Weather Service says a record low for July 17th was broken Thursday morning at Fort Wayne International Airport with a temperature of 48 degrees. The old record of 51 degrees was set in 1976.
Fort Wayne tied a record cold high temperature on Wednesday of 71 degrees which was first set in 1918. South Bend broke a record cold high temperature of 70 degrees on Wednesday. The old record of 72 degrees was set originally in 1920 and tied in 1962 and 1976.
Weather stations for the web site www.weatherunderground.com reported 46 degrees at both the Tri State Steuben County Airport and at Nevada Mills at 6:00am on Thursday morning.
A chilly July day with temperatures in the 60's meant nobody wanted to go swimming at the Steuben County Park on Wednesday.
