(LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP) – A Three Rivers man earned a trip to the hospital following a hit and run incident in Lockport Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says 41 year old Corey Goodyke was heading west on M-60 at 7 PM Thursday when his vehicle left the roadway and traveled through a yard before striking a group of trees.
Goodyke left the scene heading east and turned down Parkville Road, striking mailboxes and an electrical pole. As he crossed the intersection of Parkville Road and Michigan Avenue, Goodyke went off the road again, striking a second power pole and then rolling over several time before coming to rest against another group of trees.
The Fabius Park Township Fire Department had to remove Goodyke from his vehicle. He was taken to Three Rivers Health for treatment of his injuries.
