JACKSON TOWNSHIP - A LaGrange woman is dead following a crash in Steuben County Friday night.
It happened around 9 p-m on County Road 100 North just west of 600 West.
A car driven by 41-year-old Daniel Shroyer of LaGrange crested a hill and swerved to avoid an SUV that had lost the utility trailer it was pulling.
Shroyer’s car left the road and rolled over several times.
43-year-old Deanna Shroyer of LaGrange was a passenger in the car and suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at Cameron Memorial Hospital.
Daniel Shroyer was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center by Samaritan Helicopter. Police described his injuries as non-life threatening.
The occupants of the SUV – Edward and Kenetha Duncan of Angola - were outside their vehicle and were not injured.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department said alcohol is considered a factor in the crash.
