Fremont Man Charged Following Campground Drug Bust

(ANGOLA) - A Fremont man was formally charged with seven counts on Monday following a methamphetamine bust at a Steuben County campground. 57-year-old Russell Mansell is facing felony charges of manufacturing meth, possession of meth, illegal possession of precursors and maintaining a common nuisance. He is also facing misdemeanor charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. According to Steuben County court documents, Mansell was arrested by the Steuben County Sheriff's Department after drugs and items to make drugs were found inside of a camper on 50 West. Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Mansell during his initial hearing. Bond was set at $15,000 with ten percent allowed. A pre-trial conference in Steuben Circuit Court was scheduled for September 22nd.
