(ANGOLA) - A Bryan, Ohio man who was one of four persons arrested on methamphetamine related charges in an April 11th drug bust near Hamilton was given a 25-year sentence on Monday in Steuben Superior Court. 34-year-old Joseph Cotrell admitted his guilt to a felony charge of aiding in the manufacture of meth. Three other charges in the case were dismissed by prosecutors as Judge William Fee accepted the plea agreement on Monday.
The plea agreement calls for a sentencing cap of 30 years with the court to determine the length of the sentence. Cotrell was scheduled to go on trial on July 24th.
The Steuben County Sheriffs Department said at the time of the bust that they found items commonly associated with the manufacture of Meth along with suspected Meth and drug paraphernalia in the home in the 4100 block of East Bellfountaine Road. They went there after getting a call about a suspicious vehicle in the driveway.
