(UNDATED) - A line of severe thunderstorms knocked out power for hundreds of NIPSCO customers in Stueben County on Tuesday afternoon.
National Weather Service observers report winds from the thunderstorm knocked down power lines in Pleasant Lake. A large tree was also knocked down on Waymire Road.
In LaGrange County, trees were knocked down northwest of Plato. A Sycamore tree was snapped in Wolcotville.
Power lines were reported down in the southern part of Branch County while trees and power lines were knocked down in the northern part of Hillsdale County.
Over 1,100 NIPSCO customers were without power for several hours including over 500 around Angola and over 300 in Pleasant Lake. According to NIPSCO's web site, everybody in Steuben County was back on line Wednesday morning.
