(STURGIS) – The 31st annual Sturgis Toy Run starts its ride at 1 PM this Saturday.
With that in mind, the Sturgis Police Department is asking motorists to use alternate routes until the ride has finished. The run will last up to one hour and all roads along the route will be blocked to ensure the safety of the riders.
No one will be allowed to turn or cross in front of the group during the run.
This year's run will start from the Kelly Road campsite and travel to Big Hill Road where it will turn south and head to Chicago Road. From there the run will continue west on Chicago Road, through Sturgis and then all the way to White Pigeon.
Riders will turn north on U.S. 131 and follow that until it reaches Water Street in Constantine. The run will go east on Water Street to Featherstone Road, then to Centreville-Constantine Road and on to M-86.
The run will continue east on M-86 through Centreville and Nottawa and then turn north on M-66. When they reach the junction of east M-86, riders will follow M-86 and travel through Colon.
Riders will stay on M-86 until they reach Burr Oak Road, where they will turn south on Burr Oak Road, and then travel to Hackman Road. Once on Hackman, the run will go west until they reach Middle Colon Road and then turn south and go through Burr Oak.
The run will continue on from Burr Oak until it reaches Kelly Road where it will turn and head back to the campsite.
