Lakeland boys track wins invitational; area teams do well

Bronson boys fifth and WP sixth at Quincy Track Invitational
(QUINCY) – The Bronson boys track team finished fifth and White Pigeon sixth at the Quincy Invitational. Host Quincy was third and Union City was fourth. Bronson's Wesley Disbro was first in the pole vault while White Pigeon's Cahil Krajniak was first in the 110 meter hurdles. Quincy's Tanner Parshall took first in the 400 meters and Evan Cross of Union City was first in the discus.
Boys track teams do well at Centreville Invitational
(CENTREVILLE) – St. Joseph County boys track teams did well at the Centreville Invitational. Niles Brandywine took first place. Constantine was second, Mendon third, Centreville fourth and Colon was seventh. Constantine's David Jones took first in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter races. Mendon's Parker Cupp was first in the 400 meters and was part of the winning 800 meter relay team and the 1600 meter relay team.
Lakeland boys track team wins John Reed Relays
(KENDALLVILLE) – The Lakeland boys track team took first place in their portion of the John Reed Relays. Host Eat Noble was fourth. Dustin Cunningham, Eli Wallace, Joel Miller and Taylor Raatz won the 400 meter relay and the 800 meter relay for the Lakers. Wallace, Raatz, Cunningham and Nick Byler teamed to win the 800 sprint relay. Evan Garretson of Lakeland won discus and the shot put.
